Chaintech Announces New Apogee Graphics Board Based on nVIDIA GeForce 7800GT Processor

Express board is HDTV-ready, and supports overclocking for the high-end consumer graphics and gaming market Chaintech America Co. Ltd, a leading VGA card and motherboard manufacturer, today announced the Apogee AE78GT, a High-Definition graphics board for consumer graphics and gaming enthusiasts based on the nVIDIA(R) GeForce 7800GT graphics processor.

The Chaintech AE78GT features a revolutionary design that sets new standards for 3D graphics processing performance. The new PCI-Express interface graphics card is powered by nVIDIA latest GeForce 7800GT Graphics Processing Unit, which provides a 400MHz engine clock and 1000MHz memory clock, 256MB DDR3 memory, with 20-pixel pipeline to speed up image processing and to produce sharp graphics.

The Chaintech Apogee AE78GT features nVIDIA latest PureVideo technology to deliver high visual quality to video home entertainment systems. The board also includes nVIDIA(R) CineFX 4.0 and Intellisample 4.0 technology with support for Microsoft(R) DirectX(R) 9.0 Shader Model 3.0+ for soft realistic shadows. These visual technologies make the Chaintech Apogee AE78GT a solid performer for gaming enthusiasts at a value.

The Chaintech Apogee AE78GT supports new HDTV, dual display, and older analog video technology with dual DVI-I outputs, HDTV out, DVI-I out, and DVI-I to VGA adapter.

Chaintech bundles a wide-range of graphics and entertainment software with the board. Each board ships with WinDVD5 (6-Channel), WinDVD Creator 2, WinRip 2.1, Home Theater 2.1 Lite, Adobe Photoshop Album 1.0, 5 in 1 game pack, and a full version of the Painkiller game.

The Apogee AE78GT is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, ME, 9x, Mac OS X, and Linux.

The MSRP of the Chaintech Apogee AE78GT is $429. The board is available immediately in the U.S. from Chaintech's authorized dealers, distributors and on-line retailers.
