EnGenius ECW230S AP
EnGenius, back in late 2021 announced a new series of Wi-Fi 6 Access points mainly focus upon "security". The new S series was born. As remote network access and a growing number of Bluetooth/IoT devices create more attack surfaces than ever before, enterprise networks are increasingly vulnerable to data breaches and cyber-attacks. In response, EnGenius has expanded its security features to include new Wi-Fi 6 cloud-managed security access points ideal for information-sensitive financial, medical, and distributed enterprise networks.
The new S series (ECW220S/230S), the EnGenius Cloud security APs come equipped with EnGenius AirGuard, an intelligent wireless security system that identifies and neutralizes threats 24/7. Using dedicated scanning radios, AirGuard security APs scan the environment non-stop for attacks—evil twins, rogue APs, flood detection, man-in-the-middle attacks, and radio frequency jammers—without degrading network performance at all.
The new security APs also feature professional-grade RF spectrum analysis that visualizes radio frequencies at a glance to ensure all SSIDs are authorized, and the most efficient channels are utilized. Its zero-wait DFS avoids disruption from radar detection and provides an uninterrupted change of channels when needed. In addition to identifying unauthorized devices, the security APs also detect all Bluetooth devices nearby.
Rogue devices are often the gateway to attacks and the S series offers end users a seamless all-in-one cloud-managed security solution without the need to purchase multiple off-the-shelf solutions to handle costly cyberattacks.

Next-Generation Wi-Fi in the Cloud
The EnGenius Cloud access points take advantage of the latest wireless Wi-Fi 6/6E technology, which enables more efficient channel use and reduces latency between AP and client devices. EnGenius AP’s use ground-breaking features such as uplink and downlink of OFDMA, target wake time, uplink and downlink of MUMIMO, BSS coloring, spatial reuse, and preamble updates.
Flexibility in Deployment
EnGenius Cloud’s versatile line of high-performance, managed, ceiling- and wall-mount access points consist of tri-band and dual-band high capacity 4x4, and 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 versions. Wall plate models serve as all-in-one communication “hubs” for in-room wireless connectivity. Configure access points with a scan of the QR code using the EnGenius Cloud app and manage, monitor, and troubleshoot an unlimited number of devices from a single visually rich interface.
Smartcasting and Wired SSID Configuration
EnGenius SmartCast SSID allows hotel guests, for example, to stream their media subscriptions to the TV without compromising guest privacy. All personal devices are hidden from other guests in the guest network interface. Businesses can now extend captive portal, splash pages and protection to the extra LAN ports on the wall-mount access points to create a unified, secure onboarding experience for users on both the wireless and wired network.
Optimize Connectivity with Wireless Mesh
Use smart mesh mode with a click of a button for retrofit or new install applications where wire runs are not possible. Mesh’s smart sensing technology finds nearby access points and auto connects, optimizes routes between APs, and automatically self-heals the network if the AP loses connection.
