Pioneer Identifies Bug In CDJ-2000-W Player

Pioneer Identifies Bug In CDJ-2000-W Player

Consumer Electronics Apr 10,2012 0

Pioneer today issued a warning to owners of the popular CDJ-2000 Limited Professional Multi Player (model number CDJ-2000-W), informing them that a service issue could make the player playback music in reverse without any action by the user. "When the CDJ-2000-W is used in bright sunlight or, potentially, in bright incandescent light, music playback may go in reverse without any action by the user," Pioneer said.

Pioneer added that the issue occurs only under limited environmental and use conditions that are not typical for most users. To address this issue, Pioneer will perform a corrective modification of each sold unit at no charge to owners, with shipping to-and-from Pioneer's factory, prepaid by Pioneer.

To arrange for this free modification, contact the Pioneer Service Office.
