Sony is developing a Remote Play app for PlayStation 4, available for Mac and PC users, the company's president announced via a tweet on Friday. "Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac," tweeted Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony's Worldwide Studios.
The video game console feature allows users to play via a PlayStation Portable or Vita.
Remote Play will bring Sony up to speed with Microsoft, which has already launched its Xbox One streaming feature for Windows 10.
PS4 Remote Play already allows streaming to Xperia phones and tablets. The facility is available on PS Vita and smartphones and tablets in the Xperia Z-series from Z2 and onwards.
